Mali has been hit by a wave of coordinated terrorist attacks, with militants striking military positions across the country, including a prison complex near the capital. The Malian armed forces, together with Russia’s Africa Corps, say they repelled the assaults and inflicted heavy losses on the FLA.

The report also examines accusations that Tuareg separatist leaders are recruiting teenagers as fighters, taking children from classrooms and sending them to the front line.

Guests Abdel Nasser Ali Hamani and Bayala Lianhoue Imhotep discuss child recruitment, Mali’s break with France, and allegations that Western powers have used separatist and militant groups to maintain influence in the Sahel.
