Russia, China conduct air patrol over Asia-Pacific region

The Russian and Chinese air forces have conducted a joint air patrol in the Asia-Pacific region, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.

A group of Russian Tu-95ms strategic missile carriers and Chinese Khun-6K strategic bombers flew over the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea as well as the western part of the Pacific Ocean. Russian Su-30SM and Su-35S jets and Chinese Jian-11B fighters accompanied the aircraft.

The event was held as part of the implementation of the military cooperation plan for 2023, and was not directed against third countries, the Russian military stated.
