RT gains rare access near the Strait of Hormuz

Iran has announced new maritime controls over the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most vital energy chokepoints. Under the newly created Persian Gulf waterway authority, vessels seeking to pass through the corridor will now be required to receive official approval and coordinate transit with Iranian authorities.
