Rome's citizens march against 2024 budget law

Hundreds in Rome joined a rally called by the CISL union to protest against the Italian government's general budget law for 2024. ‘The government intervenes in a serious, incorrect way, violating the regulations. They must stop making money off pensioners,’ the CISL general secretary Luigi Sbarra told the crowd. According to the union, the budget law for 2024 provides for cuts in funding for social services and fails to take into account the interests of employees.
