The modern terms and meaning of many words today are completely watered down and down right changed from their original meaning and context. For the case of this particular topic; words like Pharmakia aka Pharmaceutical, and Sorcery, witch craft drugs,. etc.. MOST importantly the word Sorcery. The modern meaning literally have a sort of very watered down meaning and is not as broad and as specific as it's ancient/original meaning and understanding. So.. Before anyone could possibly explain why the bible forbids it. Those terms, and others MUST be defined and established with their original context. Without doing so, it wouldn't make sense. Which is why those words and many more were altered by more modern authorities. It's much easier to control a population when they're ignorant and confused.

Over all. The point i make with people who try to understand the bible, and Most other very ancient texts and manuscript is. There is a reason the Bible give SPECIFIC instruction on how to read and understand it. It's like no other book. it MUST be studied as the bible requires, and it MUST be read precept upon precept. There is a reason pastors and other "religious" authorities must go to Theologian college to learn and become a pastor (Although what they teach there is totally off according to doctrine). But my point is. this is part of the reason most people can not understand the bible. Along with Modern people trying to understand Ancient concepts with a very skewed modern understanding of things.
