Protesters march against regasification at Italian port

Thousands of people took to the streets of Piombino in Italy to protest against the regasification plant system in the city’s port. The project aims to make up for a shortfall of Russian gas imports, but protesters say it will not solve the problem of growing energy prices. They carried banners warning of the potential economic and environmental damage the regasification could cause.
