A firefighting plane crashed on Greek Euboea Island, after dropping a load of water on one of the fires currently gripping the country, according to local media. Two pilots were onboard the plane, both of them are presumed dead.

Sad... But shit happens...
What gets up my arse though is that this is very high risk flying - very low level, turbulent winds, fires, updrafts etc., the whole shebang - and these are not fitted with the smart "all direction" soviet style ejection seats...
The ones that go "Bang!" and upwards, no matter which direction the plane is pointed.
My condolence to their families.
