Over 2,200 migrants filmed illegally crossing into US

Over 2,200 migrants were filmed making an overnight crossing into Eagle Pass, Texas, in what is thought to be one of the largest single crossings in recent years. Footage recorded in Piedras Negras, the Mexican city across the border, shows a huge group of people lining up to cross the Rio Grande into the US under cover of night.

The crossing comes just days after footage of a train packed with cheering migrants went viral, and appears to contradict the Biden administration’s claim that illegal crossing numbers have fallen.
