Oort vampire
In the 23rd century, humanity's expansion into the solar system takes a terrifying turn when the *UNSS Erebus*, a state-of-the-art exploration vessel, discovers a derelict alien ship lurking in the Oort Cloud. The crew, awestruck by the vessel's ancient, biomechanical design—covered in carvings that mirror Earth's oldest vampire myths—makes a fatal mistake: they revive its sole occupant. At first, the gaunt, pale humanoid seems harmless, even fascinating, as it converses in dead languages and shares cryptic tales of a dying world. But when crew members start disappearing and the ship's systems mysteriously fail, they realize the truth—they haven't found a relic. They've awakened a predator. And it didn't survive this long by chance.
As paranoia spreads through the *Erebus*, the creature reveals its nature: it is the source of humanity's vampire legends, a cosmic parasite that once fed on early civilizations before retreating to the void. Now, it's using the crew as pawns to return to Earth, manipulating minds and turning them against each other in zero-gravity nightmares. In a desperate final act, the survivors eject the creature into space, but the victory is hollow—the transmission it sends echoes into the darkness. The film's chilling final moments reveal an Antarctic research station uncovering another buried ship, its lights flickering to life as the signal arrives. The Oort vampire was never alone.
