On Suicide and Suffering (Robin Williams)

People generally have a fear of death. So technically speaking a person who kills themselves is actually more courageous. What the hell I've been wasting away in this bed trying to end my life. Cuz a vast majority of people are afraid of death. Cuz the greatest fear people have of death is what's on the other side. And they don't want to know that. So to make themselves feel better they call people who commit suicide a coward. What actuality takes a lot of courage to end your own life. And especially helps when your life sucks it makes it a little bit easier and it give you a little bit more courage when your life sucks to end your life. So plain and simple when your life sucks you develop a courage to end it. So I scoff at the notion that it's cowardly. Everybody around me knows that I basically starve my body to the point where it was wasting away lost 100 lb from it lost my appetite all that shit. There are many times where I wish God never created my consciousness. That I wish he would erase it. Am I afraid of that fuck no. When I die I'd rather everything go black nothing to see. end of consciousness. The more unhappy I am the more I wish my consciousness would cease to exist. And I do hope when I die there's nothing on the other side. That is one thing I wish for more than anything. Never to return and never to come back
