Nigerien women participate in 'make noise' protest against French troops

Dozens of women in Niger gathered in front of the Niamey airbase to protest and show support for the country’s defense and security forces. They also demanded the withdrawal of French troops stationed at the base. Organizers called on protesters to bring kitchenware to make noise as signs of dissidence.
