Basically - by running against the wall, he has stopped from losing control and then flying AT the wall, and he has ramped up the total top speed, in the corner, by using the wall to contain the sum of the vectors - thus losing some power to friction, but greatly upping his top speed - to become in effect, a locked down slot car..... It's fucking brilliant. I am always on the look out for really clever people doing really clever things - there are very subtle and not so subtle insights and methods..... This was fucking brilliant.
