Is it safe to be dating in this current state we're in as a country? I understand Lamprey you've mentioned before you're worried about who is going to taking care of you when you're an old cripple and i can understand that angle of why i man would try to build relationships, but i am completely sold on the idea that dating is a social construct of which the intent is to lead a man and woman toward marriage. This is an unsafe move looking at the statistical linear correlation between marriage and divorce in our current society when you look out 10 to 20 years at the divorce vs marriage rate year by year basis. Now those numbers don't really say anything to your personal relationship but they do speak to the overall success of marriages in general in america and i just don't really understand how a man can pursue dating in that statistical environment and think its wise for the long term. Not that its any of my business but kind of wondering where your head is at with this lamprey. I can't bring myself to date with integrity in this society knowing that the purpose of dating is to lead towards marriage. Because i am not comfortable with which the linear correlation is, showing how often marriages fail vs. their initiation and how dire the consequences are for a said failed marriage for a man. I can't rationally justify dating in these circumstances as i see dating as tool society uses to gear men towards marriage.

I don't know, if you're not pumping and dumping women and not pursing marriage. I'm not sure what reason there is to date women. I would just say I'm hanging out with a friend.
