Classic.
'Independent' was just a nice way to say 'cheap as fuck'. So... it suddenly changes languages like that, because they had to use different sources to restore the film to it's entirety, and forgot/didn't bother to dub/subtitle that part, or.....
Sometimes when they re-add deleted scenes or are doing the 'director's cut', they are using original clips, shot in whatever language the film was shot in. Many of the old B movies were shot in whatever language was most comfortable to the actors/directors, and dubbed the whole thing or just specific actors' lines, for whichever audience it was being shipped to. Same deal, forgot/didn't bother or didn't have the technical ability to dub/subtitle. Many of these flicks are completely different flicks, depending on which country you were watching, based on various censorship standards. A few of these have XXX hard core versions, as they would just edit some porn right into the film. Good times. I love B movies. Got a shitload of 'em.
