Morocco’s king visits earthquake victims in hospital, donates blood

Morocco’s King Mohammed VI has visited survivors of the devastating September 8 earthquake, which has killed almost 3,000 people and injured thousands more, according to the latest estimates.

During his visit to the Mohammed VI University Hospital Center in Marrakesh on Tuesday, the king talked with patients and staff before donating blood.

Rescue efforts are ongoing in the African country, and the international community has rallied to provide aid and manpower after the quake, the deadliest in years, which has destroyed entire villages and displaced thousands of people.
