@WMHarrison94: Marines are just like any other men. When I was in Okinawa in '80-'81, one of the guys showed me a letter he had written (in Japanese) to a girl to whom he fell in love. Nothing against him. It can happen to anybody. Of course, she blew rejected him. I told him I understood her point. Traditional Japanese aren't going to accept a white American, even if he spoke Japanese. Emotions being as they are, he was going down a road be had no control of. Luckily, he didn't go UA, and we all ended up back in the States, when our tours were up. Love, it's a bitch.

Most of us didn't mess with another Marine's woman. Of course, not all guys were like that, but I was. There were plenty of women to go around. Even moreso in the Philippines, where we also trained while in Okinawa.
