i don't have win 11 but i did get win 10 a few years back and it was a pain in the ass when the upgrade happened, but i will be moving to Linux soon enough, right now Linux is not bad for what it is currently, it's improved a shit load from the old days, and a lot of people are already making the move due to the gaming scene, so i fully expect that it will gain much more popularity soon enough due to lord Gaben and his steam machines.

i watched an interview with him talking about this very issue, and he absolutely hates Microsoft with a passion, so i expect the Linux machines will eventually gain a lot more support in the coming years, that is if we don't collapse and the whole great reset doesn't happen, who knows what's going to happen at this point, we are veering more and more to the movie ideocracy with how things been going.

but if Microsoft is making this move, i don't think a collapse is going to happen.

If I could magically punch Bill Gates in the face and out the back of his head, I would.
He and his shithole company deserve to be royally fucked in the arse with a hand grenade.

I run Linux on my laptop (Arch) and Ubuntu on my phone. The only machine in my house running Windows is my custom built gaming rig. I really don't trust Apple or Google.

what do you think of gaming moving to Linux, since you appear to be more of an expert than i on this? i hear it often works better than it does on windows.

@KEEPER: Linux - it's the most stable and reliable and good value OS that is unlike the resource sucking shit called Microsoft. About the ONLY time Linux has ever fucked up, is because I caused the fuck up to happen by fucking with the code and controls etc., Best thing I ever did was just to FUCK Microsoft off.

So, how do you switch OS? Is there a certain phone you have to get?

Groan... I have looked at this extensively and a while back.... So my info is not fresh... I stuck with google because it has all the apps that do things I need to get done... like maps and finding places etc.. BUT I think you have to ROOT your phone and install the mobile phone version of a linux system.

I'd be prepared to experiement on a spare equivalent or compatible phone - BUT you phone needs to be rootable, the OS had to match the cellular networks in the country your in, and it has to have the apps you NEED for your undertakings.

back when i got the free update to win 10 i was using win 7, but at the time i remember thinking that i wish i never made the switch, it's sad because i made the move simply because i wanted direct x 11 which was supposed to be better for gaming. not that really mattered in the end, it turned out that direct x 11 wasn't that much better than the previous version. and by getting the free windows update i essentially opted into windows in fucking with my pc any time they wanted with their damn updates and it kept fucking up my setup every time. but yeah, i'm likely to make the move to Linux, since that's where gaming is likely going to go anyway due to the steam deck and the massive improvements that have been added onto the operating system of Ubuntu, it will be a learning curve to a certain degree because i'm so used to using windows, but then again windows also does updates that fuck with some of these features making it harder to understand what they changed and making it harder to figure out how to use the damn PC to begin with.
