this is true, and i remember much of this kind of thing going on when i worked as a custodian in a school, sad thing was i was encouraged to make friends with the students so i did, then one day one of the parents thought some bullshit in their mind and i was suddenly given a chat and that conversation was very illuminating, i was being accused of some inaproperate stuff just because i was hanging out with the students that i was encouraged to do by the actual people running the fucking place, and your right, i didn't know my rights.

Absolutely. That kind of accusation is defamation with severe damage to your reputation and your livehood. The discrimination would make the damages go ballistic as the lawyer would sue them against federal laws. I'm glad you learned, don't let them get away next time - next time ask them to formalize those accusations and start gathering evidence - just the threat usually makes it go away.
