McDonalds has been hit with a proposed nationwide class action accusing the company of using an AI-powered system to coordinate menu prices across thousands of restaurants.
The lawsuit claims its algorithm pools private sales data and calculates what customers are willing to pay. McDonalds says AI does not set prices and franchisees remain in control—but customers already paying ridiculous prices are not buying the excuses.
