Big cities have many amenities and attractions, but it doesn't compare to the calm of the countryside. This man grew tired of living in the big city and returned to his hometown, where he now uses all his knowledge and resourcefulness to dig a house in the mountains. Could you build something like this? Leave your answer in the comments

lol yeah. this dude probably learned that having an home built within the rock was better because it always stayed cool but not too cool. it's the same reason why i like the idea behind the earthship designs. they are built for limited energy consumption to improve on efficiency and quality of life.

then putting his pc near the window is the best place because the rock for the most part will destroy any signal he gets, so naturally the pc needs to be near the window for wifi, however wifi can always have an direct line into the house and the signal sent outside to get good internet with no issues. this guy has no heating, cooling, electricity bills from the looks of it the only thing he probably pays for is his food, water and his internet bill. because everything else is taken care of.

@KEEPER: AWESUM GREAT VALID POINTS YOU MAKE. IM NEW TO EARTHSHIPS IDEA IM GONNA HAVE TO LOOK INTO MORE I KNOW OF IT BUT VERY LITTLE AND THOUGHT THEY WERE SHIPS THAT VERY MADE ON EARTH BUT ARE ANTI GRAVITY VEHICLEA E.G MILLENIUM FALCON. COOL TO SEE I WAS WRONG AND ITS COMPLETLY DIFFERENT TO WHAT I WAS ORIGINALLY THINKING. I ALSO LIKE THE FACT THAT MR.TIGER MOSTLY REUSES WHAT HE TAKES OUT OF THE MOUNTAIN AND USES IT FOR HIS OTHER PROJECTS AS WELL AS TRIES TO MAKE SURE NOTHING GOES TO WASTE OR VERY LITTLE IS WASTED :D \M/

@DIO DOOM DONUTS: i remember thinking this the first time i heard about them as well. but i'm also into the monolithic dome design homes, as they follow many of the same principles as earthships do. but monolithic domes don't have the built in water collection in mind but it can still be achieved if you know what to look for before you build your home anywhere. the possibility's are pretty much endless in which design you want to do so long as it's safe and follows the realistic needs of the design for yourself. i have always liked the idea of using the earth to insulate a home and it makes me wonder why we still mostly build houses like we do when there are better options out there, like our tech has advanced a lot within the past 200 years, but not much has changed in the design of a house that makes sense economically, i'm not saying everyone should live in an earthship design home, but what i'm saying is that it's probably better in some cases to build your home in the design of something that keeps the overall costs down. another dude left a statement of how expensive one of the earthships i posted in another video. the quote was 100k for building one of these, and he thought the price was way too high, but if you look at these from the perspective of you paying no heating, cooling, electricity, water, waste bills. you are saving a shit tone of cash in comparison to a conventional home because once it's fully payed off, you don't have any bills after that base value. think of these rent to own homes, do any rent to own homes make their own power food or energy? in most cases no they don't. so this is why it's an huge advantage over an conventional home when it comes to saving money, these folks who are finished paying off their earthship are probably swimming in money savings with no issue of debt or making ends meet every month. a lot of these people who own earth ships end up turning them into airbnb's while they vacation somewhere else multiple times a year, or they can simply save on just living at their home and save.

this is the closest thing people can realistically get when it comes to unlimited energy, because it's fully recycled and reused energy, it's not even some liberal crap either, sure a it might grab the attention to some of these liberal types out there, but it's not even about that in the end. i'm not a climate change idiot who talks about global warming all day long, but i do notice the real legitimate pros to having a steading such as these to help supplement your income and also keep you away from the really fucked up commies out there who want nothing but to burn what you have down to the ground.

@KEEPER: FACTS. FIRSTLY I NEVER SAID YOU WERE AN IDIOT OF ANY SORTS NEVER SAID OR THOUGHT THAT INFACT THE OPPPOSITE :D. YOU GAVE ME SUM VAUABLE INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE TO THINK ABOUT HOME STEADING THANK YOU VERY MUCH. YES 100K IS ALOT FOR ME RIGHT NOW AND I WOULD HAVE TO FIND LAND TO DEVELOP ON FIRST AND THEN WOULD HAVE TO PAY COUNCIL OR WHOEVER FOR THAT LAND ACQUISTION TO BUILD UPON, ID PROBABLY BE LOOKING AT 300K IN GULAG UK FOR INITAL COSTS AND COULD MAKE THAT BACK UP IN 3-5 YEARS. ITS A GREAT TEMPTING IDEA BUT FOR ME JUST NOT CURRENTLY HOWEVER AS THEY SAY KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING IS ONLY HALF THE BATTLE AND ITS GOOD TO KNOW DOWN THE ROAD. I AGREE WITH WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT HOME DEVELOPMENT NOT CHANGING IN 200 YEARS BUT TECHNOLOGY HAS I BELIEVE THAT WAS BY DESIGN SO THEY CAN FORECLOSE FAMILY'S HOMES AND STEAL THEIR LANDS AT LEAST THATS WHAT I BELIEVE. OFF GRID LIVING IS GREAT AND COMES WITH ITS OWN PROBLEMS BUT IF YOU INVESTING IN YOUR HEALTH THEN YOU WONT NEED TO WORRY ABOUT HOSPITAL AND ALL THE TRASH THAT COMES ALONG WITH IT. ONCE AGAIN YOUR NOT A IDIOT OR CLIMATE CHANGE IDIOT AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE MUCH GRATEFUL VALUABLE INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE MUCH RESPECT \M/
