perhaps he was just pretending to be drunk so that he could make a quick escape . after hearing her complain in her whiny little voice and seeing the crazed look in her eyes he decided to beat a hasty retreat before she could find a reason to hate him. it was too late , apparently.
Well, she is cute. He could've been scared as hell, or bored as hell, which are somewhat common reasons for someone to drink.
