The best way I can describe as someone close to but not in the USA is American's tend to be aggressive/aggressive whereas my fellow citizens tend to be passive/aggressive.
It comes from too much T.V. and Hollywood where we see the star say, "I'll take that gun and shove it up your ass!" In real life there is no director to say, "Okay! Cut! That's a wrap!"

An old man told me years ago "if you don't intend on using it, don't pull it. If you pull it, don't do it for show, use it". He is a war veteran, he saw nasty shit, he is right. When there's a weapon, assume it will be used.
