Something occurred to me just now: that doll that was seized by customs looks a little like Ava Majury, and she looks like an adult even though she's not even legally old enough to drive. I'm not saying that it's right or that the doll looks like a minor, but rather there are minors that look adult, so on appearances the lines are fuzzy.
I imagine as soon as my companion arrives I’ll have to oil and powder her up. Any suggestions on how many bottles of baby oil I’ll need? I already have a container of corn starch. Might need to buy more.
@eldrazi317: just a standard bottle size. I think it's either 15 or 16 oz. And also you can go dirt cheap with it just make sure that it's the mineral oil. Like no name no brand. And then the same thing with the baby powder I just get whatever that standard size of lavender scented generic.
But you don't have to get lavender scented just whatever baby powder is available. Or the cornstarch you have will work too. I've just never used it but I hear a lot of people say it's fine.
@RockNRollDolls: I have another— the baby/mineral oil; is it to fill up the dolls pores so that it doesn’t stain as much? Just wondering for the exact reason for it.
Just made the order along with a new wig for her. Planning on purchasing a silicone head later, I like the realism of the silicone face comboed with the tpe body. It’s going to arrive sometime March 8th.
@RockNRollDolls: I’m thinking of dressing her like the ladies did in the past. Did Yui have a white undershirt underneath the black band shirt she was wearing in the video? Just asking since I know that dark colors stain.
@RockNRollDolls: thank you for the reply. It’s good to know cotton is a good material to use. The nightgown I was looking at for her is 55% Cotton, 45% Polyester. Would that be fine or is polyester a no-no.
@eldrazi317: Light colors should be fine. But in my general experience polyester's are a lot more likely to stay in the cottons. But light colors like I said should be fine.
@RockNRollDolls: that’s good to know, most of the outfits I’ve been planning for her are mainly a combination of white and greens, didn’t realize how much I like green till now XD
One outfit is a pretty nightgown that looks a great deal like a dress with a green robe/coat over her form. I think she’ll look lovely in it. I’m thinking of buying her some water protective shoes to hopefully make it easy or easier to get her cleaned up in the shower. Have you had any experience having one of your companions use them? From what I read of the shoes they are extra slip resistant.
@RockNRollDolls: At least I now know a perfect use for the extra head. Although I still find it funny that sexdolls/companions can/will use tampons too lol
@RockNRollDolls: I personally think it’s another good reason to stay fit and healthy, although only a very small reason. But I imagine fitting her into a set of workout clothes and just having her there be my cheerleader lol
I watched a video of a guy unboxing a doll with his friends. They were slapping it around, dinking with the wig, there was a woman there making comments about it, they put it in a harness suspended from a hook and spun it; all one big joke. Then the dude used it and gave a ho-hum review. To be honest it came off as oddly gross, but whatever it was their doll.
Then he made a follow up where he'd left it in a garage and during a hot day and it was warm to the touch so he thought he'd give it a try again. This time he was talking seriously, no joking, no dinking around. He said it was 'too real' for him, and called it a rabbit hole he didn't want to go down into, so he was going to hack the doll apart and toss it.
My point in posting this is twofold.
First, each person derives their own experience from dolls as they will anything. Some people play games to escape into fantasy, some just to dick with physics or do things or whatever. The experience is up to the person, and it's whatever we decide for ourselves.
Second, what a person does with his/her doll is really up to them, and doesn't reflect on anyone but them. Men treat dolls as companions, fine. Men treat dolls as disposable property, fine. I had a dog I loved very much, he was my friend; for others their dog is just a dumb animal that serves a purpose or is just there like a piece of furniture that needs feeding.
There's no reason to be offended personally by this. Instead be grateful you have the capacity to appreciate the doll as more than an object (even if that's all it is) and project empathy unto it as you would anything worth caring about. The spoiled will be spoiled, the appreciative will appreciate. I, for one, consider dolls to be an amazing option in our current world. They are not mutually exclusive to women any more than a vibrator and facebook is a substitute for men. Dolls are objects, but they're usefulness will depend on the individual.
I'd equate it to Season 1 Westworld. Without spoiling anything for those of you that have never seen it (change that, season 1 is fantastic!), one of the characters comes to see Dolores from two perspectives, much like this subject with dolls. In one hand she's a thing to be taken and used as a man sees fit, on the other hand Dolores is a living being worthy of care, protection, even love. ultimately it is for each of use to decide where we fall in that spectrum, be it dolls, dogs, even people.
Sure. But people who treat dolls like that can go fuck themselves. That's all. But yeah. Its up to people to chose how they see the situation. Good monologue!
@RockNRollDolls: I agree, that sort of attitude and carelessness just shows me they don’t care for their stuff nor themselves truly. I don’t think any person with a good head wouldn’t go about destroying their own hard earned property.
@RockNRollDolls: Also I’m going to purchase the doll I mentioned before Rock; I have two options for shipping— FedEx or Ups. Which do you think is the better option if I may ask for shipping her safe and sound?
@RockNRollDolls: The vendor has been very helpful in answering my questions, is even putting the companion on hold till I’m able to make the purchase tomorrow. So I think he or she is good so far.
@RockNRollDolls: Yeah, I want to get her a dress— something easy to get her in and out. She’s my first doll so don’t really know what to expect other than what I heard.
@eldrazi317: Yui is a Piper doll with Palatium TPE, she only needs to be oiled once every 3 months roughly, but i powered her once every few weeks, just depending of if she feels like she needs it. Quad Chan the torso Doll is closer to what you will be dealing with. She so far after the month I've owned seems like she will need every 6 weeks or so. Just based on her feel, and seeing when she gets sticky. (from the oil leaving the tpe.)

I found this very informative guide on how to clean one’s companion: https://siliconelovers.com/pag....es/help-information-
