2 months ago I bought a 4 burner propane gas grill from wallyworld.. pulled the flame shields off,, installed an old cut to fit grill grate onto the burner shield ledge.. poured on some lava rock you can find in the landscape part of the garden center.. outside usually.. red lavarocks.. onto the add on grate.. Then reinstalled the cooking grate over the lava rocks.. ready to go.. The lava rocks will enable you to add smoker wood chips you soak in water.. for smoke added to the cooking process.. The flames heat up the lava rocks and burst through the crevices.. great way to barbecue imo.. and as all men know ,, no place is off limits to sharing good barbecue information.. best
