Joe Biden jokes ‘don’t jump’ while honoring wheelchair-bound athletes

As Joe Biden looked up at a photographer on a high platform and shouted ‘don’t jump!’ it could have been a funny and charming joke from a man who built his reputation on his good-natured sense of humor. Unfortunately, this is modern Biden, so the joke was ruined by shouting it while honoring wheelchair-bound athletes from the US Paralympian team. This went down about as well as you would expect. This is not the first time he’s made such a gaffe: while campaigning in 2012 he told wheelchair-bound congressman Chuck Grassley to ‘stand up’ after honoring him in a speech.
