I thought Speed Racer came first? IIRC Speed Racer had an anime in 1968.

@Shin: I wasn't being too specific about it.... I grew up watching Speed Racer and G Force... Or Battle of the Planets... I don't care which came first, it's the same graphics and techniques, cut WAY back to the basics for a low cost client / sales - to feed the face and family etc., Yeah I could look it up - but I don't care enough about the subject. You know - Like was Elvis really wearing blue suede shoes on his 1966 album cover of the same name....

Yeah, it seems pretty awful, but sometimes I can't understand the extent of its mediocrity without watching it myself.....
