Amid threats of Israel’s ground operations in Lebanon, Lebanese PM Najib Mikati claimed that Beirut is ready to implement UNSC resolution 1701 to avoid hostilities between Middle Eastern countries. The resolution was intended to halt the Israel-Hezbollah War in 2006.
