Israel denies top UN official visa renewal after calls for Gaza aid

The UN’s top humanitarian aid official for Gaza and the West Bank, Lynn Hastings, will not have her visa extended by the Israeli authorities and will be forced to leave the country. Hastings’ visa setback comes after her call for more humanitarian aid for Gaza provoked a major backlash in Israel.
