The large cat food makers are all integrated food and consumer goods companies that are not concentrated in pet food like Colgate Polmolive, Mars, Nestle, General Mills. They make human food as well and things like toothpaste. Small niche pet food companies exist, maybe invest in one of those if you can find one that is publicly traded.
