Do you ever have those days, where one's dip pen needs ink two right..... AND in a place that has a small shopping bag full of bottles of ink etc... when I don't need them, there they are - everywhere and in the way... and when I do need them... What the Fuck???? I picked up some "US Post Office" type dip pen nibs... nice for cursive writing but the ink needs to be a touch thicker so it does not run off the nib so quick and the shit cheap school exercise book paper was designed to be as low cost as possible and for ball point pens, not fluidic pen ink, from dipping nibs..... When you get all scientific about papers... there is an enormous amount of science - with fibers, surface finishes - like clays, and cotton rag, and ALL sorts of things. Do you like Dipping Pens, their NIBS Mr Soloman?

@SoloMan Zone: Yeah I want to create some bitumen based ink as the pigment, and with careful control to minimise evaporation from the ink well, a careful blend of turpentine (perhaps real - cause it smells nicer) and light naptha (lighter fluid / shellite) ... It should work.... Just have to steal a cup of real TAR, not the epoxy hardened tar for road making...
