I don't think it's that they refuse to differentiate, i think they lack the cognitive ability (or effort) to compartmentalize and are limited to broad strokes. fully believe this is a problem with more people than it isn't, and why I take issue with people in authority that are given power by their peers rather than people in authority because they are better qualified.

Take it like voting: an imbecile's vote is just as relevant as an informed voter's vote. This is what female equality has brought us to, and as I was raised to believe (and hold to today) if you talk the talk, you'd best walk the walk, otherwise keep your mouth shut, be agreeable, and count your blessings.
