ok so my only comment is this . shooting hogs with anything less than .223 ( 5.56 NATO) is not a good idea . he is lucky that the hog died . 50 yards ( 45.72 meters ) is way too far for that hog to get to after being shot . 22 magnum is for small varmints not 110 pound ( 50 kilogram ) wild and dangerous hogs.

Saw a 12yo Inuit kid up in Alaska shoot a moose dead in one shot with a 0.22" - single shot - bolt action..... The kid knew how to shoot them. Single head shot in just the right place. Feeds a family of 3 or 4 for a long time.

It's like in those Jurassic Park documentaries... 10 guys with high powered rifles and a few magazines full of ammo - each.... Instead of shooting randomly at the dinosaur.... they ALL should have focussed on say ONLY firing into the left ankle.... As a world fameous dinosaur hunter, I can attest that this works...
