Huge wildfires continue to rage as extreme heatwave hits Greece

Firefighters, police, and volunteers joined forces to battle a raging forest fire in the village of Vlichada near Athens.

Fires in forested areas have been gripping Greece since the end of last week, when temperatures all along the Mediterranean coast rose, surpassing their historical records in some cases.
