How pregnancy and delivery affect a man?

Being the first man to see your child and recite the Sahada in his ear is not only one of the greatest honors a man can have but something that will build the love for his wife and appreciation of how difficult birth is.
Allah says in Surah Maryam
“Then the pains of labour drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She cried, ‘Alas! I wish I had died before this, and was a thing long forgotten!’” (Quran 19:23)
