If you follow psilocybin recearch, fungi can also help with anxiety and mental health disabilities. In the District of Columbia, residents voted to decriminalize the use of magic mushrooms and other psychedelic substances, including the active ingredients in ayahuasca and peyote, with the passage of Initiative 81, the Entheogenic Plant and Fungus Policy Act of 2020. As of about 2 a.m. ET, the initiative had passed with a landslide 76.3% of the vote.

@slapmonkey: Yeah I am 35 years drug free - rode that to the edge of the cliff so to speak... and literally. My opinion based upon my own experience... steer clear of the bullshit. Microdosing is a scam. AND there are many things that people ought to not be fucking with - magic mushrooms are one of them. People are free in one sense or the other, to choose. All choices have consequences. There are a LOT of casualties from recreational drug use. I have seen people with Parkinsons take a little hash oil and straighten right up and stop shaking etc., within minutes of taking it... Pain relief in cancer treatment etc... I know this REALLY works from personal experience. But if it's not for legitimate medical treatment of severe conditions that warrant it - recreational drug use is off the cards. Often with personal problems and being products of crazy families, working your way through these issues is a better way to deal with them, than it is to do lots of drugs and then perhaps, IF you survive it all, and can actually get drug free and stay drug free, and then if your capable of getting into therapy etc., well those odds are extremely long, and the fatality rates are very high and the fucked up for life type problems - are only made worse.... So no.. Drugs are Bad Mmm K.

So far the only point I'd disagree with is speed of absorption. When you smoke it the effects is quick. With ingestible version it's 20-30 minutes for it to have an effect. I'm just going from what I've observed.

Interesting video. Always good to learn new things. I always wondered about the munchies and cotton mouth, dry mouth.

If anyone wants to avoid the munchies drink water. It tends to fool the brain into thinking it's full.

@Councilof1: Slurpies alway's worked for me better. I think it might be a cold raw calories combo.

My vivid recollection is that they tag the THC with a radioactive isotope and measure the rate of transfer into the brain - not the stoned feeling but the actual speed of the transfer.... You know like stabbing a tyre with a nail - it's measuring the escape of air, not how flat (or stoned) the tyre is.

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: oh okay I was wondering how they would objectively measure that. My observations are just anecdotal. It was an enlightening video

@Councilof1: I am not sure of when people started it - but I have a copy of the Audio Digest of Psychiatry from the 80's and they were doing this then - and they have been doing radioactive tracing ever since they invented geiger counters, photographic film, X ray machines, flouroscopes, etc.
