The world we live in is one in which you can either seek understanding or seek living. Those things are very deeply mutually exclusive. There are quotes and Bible passages that go back millennia about this exact phenomenon. The vast majority of humanity is meant for 'the plantation' and to be cattle herded by a master. People are so miserable because the masters are gone and their cages are unkempt.
If they're right about anything, incels are dead on when they say most men were sent their own way. Instead of being on YouTube LARPing as someone with a brain they should be at a shitty job being cheated on by their mediocre and demanding wife.

I could imagine a worse life though, so no complaints!
I'm definitely one those "hope for the best but plan for the worse". When the best happens it's always a pleasant surprise though rare. In most cases though it ends up somewhere in between the two.
