HAND LINE FISHING WITH SOFT PLASTICS

I like the plastic hand lines, because once prepared, where you scrap in drag, all the flashing off --- ( joint line marks from the injection moulding dies ) ---- with a nice scraping edge, and flame glaze the plastic over with a cigaratte lighter, to make the scraped areas, glassy smooth, all around the ring and on the sides, then you basically get flawless and snag free casting..... AND with a good under arm technique, you can cast as far as most 2 - 2.5 meter rods with ease... AND if your fishing in inland rivers and lakes - 5 to 10 meters of casting is generally plenty of distance....... But these reels are small, light, immensely portable, strong, durable, and you can have a whole fishing kit for like $15 - a small bag of mixed sinkers, hooks and a roll of decent and new line.... They fit under the car seats, and you can pull up anywhere, any time and then go fishing... You can fit two of them in a lunch box with the tackle and keep them in your back pack.. cast one east, and the other west... easy... add a float and fish off a pier in the river.. You can see the flashing lines - one to the left of the hook, going up the side of the reel, and there is a slightly rough joint line around the ring. You need to think in terms of how the line runs out over these things - the flashing is like a 1" or 2" high step in the foot path for old people - it snags the line and the old people.....
