This is not an "ultimate betrayal" you have to be on the side of the people to be able to betray them....
Nothing is more artificial than an honest politician except maybe a government that puts the interest of their citizens first and foremost.
This is the foundation of our current situation... there is nothing to disguise it.
The aberration of Donald Trump as a politician... much less a president; there is no way that it isn't obvious that 'something' is going on.
Unfortunately that 'something' might be wholly a distraction to keep the citizens distracted enough to believe that things are 'different now' and to hide what else is going on...
