I'm a (black) Boomer, who simply didn't b!tch and moan when things didn't go my way. I simply toughened up and kept going, as my late father, who was dealt an even worse hand, taught me. He lost his mother in an auto wreck when he was only 5yrs old. His father wanted nothing to do with him (I guess he was a "Pookie"), so he was raised by relatives, all of whom I got to know during family reunions. He grew up learning work ethic, on a farm in Indiana, served in the military during WW II, having to deal with segregated barracks during his time in the Burma (aka, the "forgotten") Theater. He never once whined about it, but just told us that's the way things were back then. I'm sure he had some emotional moments, but like me, he probably didn't show it in public (I'm sure I got that trait from him). Perhaps that's why I hate listening to blacks whining about ANYTHING. I tell them to just stfu, bc most of them (ESPECIALLY YOU) today don't have a clue about real hardship. Please, you're misguided opinions about us are getting old. We're not ALL as well off as you'd like to think. That "1%", has always existed for a reason. Most boomers aren't there. Some of us will work until we die. Thankfully, my dad wasn't weak, and taught us work ethic, leading by example. As Clint Eastwood said in the movie, Dirty Harry: "Opinions are just like assholes; everybody has one." Whatever helps you feel better. My suggestion: Quit whining, begging, and simply deal with people HONESTLY. The Creator is no respecter of persons. Like Gen Zs, we'll ALL reap what we sow in the end.
