Forest fires ravage Kazakhstan’s Abai region

Forest fires have affected an area up to 60,000 hectares in Kazakhstan’s Abai region and remain ongoing in some areas, resulting in at least 14 deaths, according to country’s EMERCOM. Russian President Putin has expressed condolences to his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev regarding the tragedy.
