Fmr German FM Baerbock joins Columbia's School of Intl & Public Affairs as 'professor'

As one of America's elite Ivy League universities, you'd think only the very best would make it through its doors. But news that Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs has signed up Annalena Baerbock as a professor has raised more than a few eyebrows.

That's because the former German foreign minister famously hasn't always had the firmest grip on the facts.

And she is renowned not just for her public gaffes, but also for her unapologetically anti-Russia stance on the Ukraine conflict — pushing for maximum sanctions and ruling out peace negotiations. Many Germans remember her tenure as one that left the country's foreign policy in shambles.
