Back in my dating days, I noticed every woman who had a dog always used it's needs as leverage to dictate terms regarding the relationship. (Can't leave the dog alone too long...can't take that weekend trip because nobody can dog sit and can't afford to board it...etc...) It's all about their petty control issues and even the dog suffers.
