In a bid to control possible damages, the Pentagon officials quickly took to public platforms to deny it as an 'AI-generated lie'. The images were widely shared by the publication r-t, the erstwhile Russian times and even a verified twitter account with over 3 million followers promulgated it before finally deleting the tweet.
