Some things I learned from my childhood abuse at the hands of both my parents is that there is an attempt to control the abusers, that attempt is the transfer of the abusive controller to the controllee (me), and the only out is to realize one can't get the abuser to apologize for what they did and that ultimately, one has to let it all go to realize one only control over oneself.
