European countries announce naval Hormuz mission, what's next?
Several European leaders have now opted to send naval missions to protect ships navigating the Strait of Hormuz, right after Iran announced the waterway opened on Friday.
Italy's Giorgia Meloni, the German chancellor, British Prime Minister and French President gathered in Paris to discuss the mission to restore free passage through the waterway.
Rome says it's willing to provide some naval units and Paris pledged to use its'robust naval force' in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea.
The UK's Keir Starmer, who initially stressed several times that he doesn't want his country involved in the war, now says London will join the military assignment.
To discuss this, we speak with political risk analyst and veteran war correspondent Elijah Magnier.
