The Academy was great... But, the Letters "program" ie "Philosophy" was the Come back from "New Education" in the Medieval Ages. It was the New "New Education" to the "New Education," ie Letters. It was considered a proper education centering on the "humanitus." This New Education was just before the Time of the American Colonization during the Age of Exploration. In fact, I believe it created the Age of Exploration. So, we Americans were originally in its umbrella... Socrates? We do need better bioethics and perhaps tech philosophy too. I can tell you for damn sure, Biotechnology definitely needs a better bioethics framework...
