Devotees trampled by cows as part of Hindu ritual

People in the Indian village of Bhidawad were filmed taking part in an incredibly mooving ritual on Wednesday, to celebrate Govardhan Puja, two days after Diwali. Villagers can be seen lying on the ground and allowing a herd of very pretty and ornately decorated cows to walk over them, believing that this sign of respect will allow wishes to be granted.
