Democrats Destroyed NYC: 5,000 Businesses GONE in 1 Quarter

Democrats in New York City raised taxes on businesses and the middle class while spending billions on social programs that made everything worse.

In Q2 2025 alone, NYC lost a net 5,000 businesses — 8,400 closed, only 3,500 opened. That’s the worst drop since the pandemic. The city also lost 20,000 jobs last year.

Homelessness spending hit $368 million (triple 2019 levels) — $81,000 per person — yet unsheltered homelessness rose 26%.
