People who haven't even taken psych 101 will try to diagnose you. People with PhDs in psychology will forget what a conflict of interest is. It is so young, having been a much more blatant pseudoscience in the early 20th century, when all it consisted of was lobotomy and electro-shock, yet it has supreme credibility and is unassailable today. It was, as the USSR demonstrated, a way to circumvent limitations on the criminal justice system. What does it take to imprison you? Hard evidence, guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, your choice of jury trial or bench trial. What does it take to poison you and put you in a padded cell? In most states, 3-5 people coordinating a lie about you. The only reason people permit and defend this nonsense is because, just like a child crossing the street without looking, they are completely assured it can't happen to them.
