There is talk of Cyclisty being subject to all the terms of other road users. I think this is a great idea. but who far should it go. Should user's of Cycleways be licensed or insured? because most user's are sensible plus their are no petrol vehicles and often no pedestrians, that is if the pedestrian isn't being an asshole walking in a cycle way? I think the best idea would be to tax or license cdertain tyypes of bikes or rider's. In the UK the biggest problem we have with cyclist isn't Cyclist oddly enough. Most cyclist are fine. The problem in the UK is the Racing or "Lycra Lout" cyclist above all. They do WTF they like, get agressive with other road users including other cyclists as well. I think what with legistics of policing this all as well, is that the Racing Bike Cyclist or Lycra Lout at point of purchgase of a "Racing Bike2 should be licensed and insured, and registered like when you buy a motorcycle new. Alternatively all bikes should be registered "FREE" at point of sale but all the rules of the road WILL be your responsibility and if caught breaking those rules you should pay the price, You have families going out on bikes with Mum dad andf the kids, all behaving sensible for the most part? so whilst trying to promote the green issues, attaching a cost weill kill the industry over night? Or so I believe. It's like everything, for the arrogant few Lycra L:out's who jump red lights and ride at sapeed on the pavement or cyclerway, we are all gouing to have to pay. Also believe it or NOT Speed limits on bikes will be introduced, so unless that is a maximum speed or travel of 20 MPH, the green or not so green EV bikes will be a complete waste oif money so die over night. EV's are NOTY the way forward anyway. Ther best way forward is to have ALL modes of Transport supported including Combustion engines that have never been cleaner than todfay. In America a 14 year old can fit a petrol engine to a cycle legally with certain regulations ans go off to college or town. but not the UK, probably the most oppressed and restricted nation in the western world. I Cycle, I Motorcycle and occasionally have or own a car. So maybe one affordable IOnsurance for all types of vehicle including a bicycle should be included. I have a Multi bike policy as I have more than one motorcycle and it is far cheapoer than two individual policies as I am the only rider. and I don't have to wear Lycra to show of my enormous Genitals! lol! Fuck what next? I'll start atytracting women! NOT! Only my Fanny Bag containing my Wallet would do that!

Cyclists believe they are better than normal people, they want you to follow the laws but they can break them, they are arrogant drive on the road and when there's congestion go on the pavement. They should pay towards the upkeep of the roads they use and have an identification number displayed. Then if a cyclist causes an accident or damage to an automobile they can be identified

Agree Totally my friend. I occasionally still ride a pedal Cycle If I were to ride my Motorcycle like these twat's in Lycra do I would have been Dead many decades ago. So when I do ride my Cycle, I ride it like a Motorcycle with that mindset as well.

When I drive a car or own a car, I have the mindset of being FULLY aware of other more vunarable road users. I've always said thet befoire you have a car license you should have a year minimum on the road on a Bike or Motorcycle before even getting a car license, this would instill a mindset of responsibility to all.

@mrghoster: LOL - Maybe yes, maybe no. There are enormous amounts of data on that site, there are enormous amounts of data, that might still be around or findable and then there is enormous amounts of information that just vanishes into the mists of time.
